There’s a “thrill” in the air here at New Hope. Have you experienced it? You know, going up always produces a thrill. Think of the first time you left the ground in an airplane, it was a thrill. What about that first roller coaster ride? How about the view from the top of the tallest building in town? (Oh, the Holiday Inn is the tallest building in town). I remember a thrill I experienced with my family one Christmas as we went to the top of the Continental Divide riding snowmobiles…the elevation…12,000 feet. There is always a thrill when we elevate. And, “elevate” is a great word for what we have before us as a spiritual movement of God known as the church.

Last Sunday I spoke from Ezekiel 34 and we talked about that word ‘elevate’ and how it will become our theme for the new year. There’s a “thrill” in the air! It’s time to elevate! Come soar with us!
